Let’s talk about revolution. Not the kind they teach in history books, but the kind we live every day. The kind Tupac rapped about when he told us to “Keep Ya Head Up” and reminded us that we were strong and powerful.
I created this guide because, in the times we’re living in, because staying silent isn’t an option. Black people—especially Black women—are the backbone of every movement, but too often, we’re not heard. Not this time. This is about power, knowledge, and action.
What is this Protest Syllabus about?
Think of it as your playbook for the revolution, inspired by Tupac’s music, his mother Afeni Shakur, and the Black Panther Party. This guide is all about:
🔥 Understanding the roots of protest (because the fight didn’t start yesterday).
🔥 Learning how to organize, mobilize, and stand up in ways that make an impact.
🔥 Shifting the focus from race to economic justice and the power of solidarity (Fred Hampton was saying this too!).
🔥 Using art, music, and culture as weapons of resistance—because our voices will never be silenced.
Why You Should Care
If you ever felt like every time you take 2 steps forward and then you take 4 steps back this might relate to you. The system was designed to keep us struggling, so feeling like this, you’re not wrong. But what you do with that knowledge? That’s where change happens. Tupac once said, “I’m not saying I’m gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.” Verywell so that brain could be yours.
This guide is for anyone who’s ready to take action. Whether you’re marching, voting, organizing, or educating—there’s a lane for everybody in this fight. You can shift your focus on all the negative things going on and create something to help progress and push us forward.
